Couple session
You do not need a skill.Just be yourselves.
A couple session is not an appointment where you have to stand still. We walk, pause and look around. The best photographs usually happen between two directions.
How a
session unfolds.
We meet at a place we chose together beforehand. The first few minutes are almost always the most uncertain. That is normal, and it happens to everyone. So I do not begin with a pose. I start by asking you to walk side by side.
Then I give you little prompts: whisper something, pause, look at each other, carry on walking. You are occupied with one another rather than the camera. I tell you when something looks good, and I also tell you when we might try it differently.
In the end, a couple session rarely feels as long as you expect. An hour gives us a wide range of photographs when the place is right and the light cooperates.

A session of its own
No occasion needed, just because you would like recent photographs together. For many couples, the last pictures together are on someone else’s phone.
For your engagement
After the proposal and before the wedding. It is a good way to get used to the camera before the wedding day, and you will already know me.
On your wedding day
As part of your wedding photography, after the first look or in the warm evening light. You do not need a separate appointment.
The place sets
half the mood.
A field, a stretch of forest, a city street or the shore of a lake: every place brings a different feeling. Tell me where you are comfortable and which paths work with your clothes. I am based near Karlsruhe, but I travel further for a special place too.
I make the light easy for you: the last hour before sunset is often the most comfortable because nobody has to squint and the colours grow warmer. Rain does not cancel couple portraits. With an umbrella and a few flashes that illuminate the drops, we can make images you would not otherwise have.

What does a couple session cost?
That depends on the scope, location and travel. I do not currently offer fixed packages for individual couple sessions. Write to me about what you imagine, and I will send you an individual offer. As part of wedding photography, the couple session is a separate section in the price preview.
We are completely unphotogenic. Can this still work?
Most couples say that in our first conversation. That is why I give you prompts instead of poses. You do not need to smile at the camera or remember where to put a hand. If something feels wrong, tell me and we will do it differently.
How long does a couple session take?
About an hour is usually enough for a good range. If you want several places or a change of clothes, we will plan more time.
How many photographs will we get?
You receive all the good photographs from the session, fully edited, rather than a small selection of my favourites. The exact number depends on the length.
Do you photograph engagements too?
Yes. A session after the proposal is a lovely opportunity and also the best preparation for your wedding day. You will already know how I work, and I will know you.
Will you come to us?
I am based near Karlsruhe. I regularly travel around the region. For longer distances, I include travel and any overnight stay in the offer.
